At Real Techniques, we may recommend products from every price point, but we know how expensive it can be to update your makeup kit. Here are some great brands that produce quality products at an affordable price.
Try these 4 makeup dupes:
- Cool Quad. Eye shadow compacts are an easy way to refresh your collection, but they can be pricey. If you love Dior’s 5 Coleur Eye Shadow in Navy ($59) try Avon’s True Color Eye Shadow Quad in Denim Blues ($9) and have money left over for your cheek and lip!
- Chic Cheek. Cult favorite, Nars’ Orgasm Blush ($41) may be universally flattering, but if it doesn’t complement your budget, grab the E.L.F Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Antigua ($3). Apply bronzer in circular motions with your Buffing Brush on and under your cheekbones, then sweep blush on apples of cheeks for a “happy” glow.
- Base Color. A go-with-anything liner doesn’t have to break the bank. Skip the department store brands like Bobbi Brown’s Lip Liner in Brownie Pink ($20) and pick up Prestige’s Lip Liner in Cameo ($3.99) at your drugstore. Apply all over lip and blend in with your Detailer Brush, before applying gloss or lipstick for long-lasting base.
- Just Bitten. Autumn is the perfect time to try out a berry inspired lip tint. Tarte’s Lipsurgence Matte Lip Stain ($24) has a variety of wearable shades, but for a fraction of the price choose a NYC Smooch Proof Lip Stain ($4.99). Paint on lips and press them together lightly to blend pigment, reapply until desired color is achieved. If color looks too bold, sweep a little loose powder over dry stain with your Setting Brush.
